Lake Chiemsee
The most beautiful bathing spots on Lake Chiemsee can be found in Prien, Rimsting, Breitbrunn (particularly family-friendly), Gollenshausen, Seebruck, Chieming, or on Fraueninsel. With the exception of the island, which you can reach by boat from the ports of Gstadt, Prien, Bernau/Felden, Seebruck, or Chieming, all beaches are easily accessible by car, bike, or on foot via the Chiemsee lakeside path.
Nearby, you will often find rental services for surfboards, pedal boats, rowboats, and electric boats. Information on boating courses and boat rentals can be found here. As a rule, swimming is possible in Lake Chiemsee from the beginning of May to mid-September.
Hartsee, only 2 km from the Hagerhof
The Hartsee lake near Eggstätt is beautiful, a natural idyll, two degrees warmer than Lake Chiemsee, and can also be reached on foot or by bike. There is a children's playground, table tennis, and mini golf, changing rooms, showers, and toilets, as well as a very nice restaurant with a beer garden serving Bavarian food, ice cream, and homemade cakes.
Langbürgner Lake, only 2.5 miles from the Hagerhof
Lake Langbürgner is the largest of the 17 lakes in the Eggstätt-Hemhofer Lake District. It belongs to Bad Endorf and is only 4 km away from Hagerhof. The most beautiful bathing spot is near Westerhausen-Stock. From the roundabout in Natzing, drive towards Rimsting, turn right at the Fritz company sign, and after a few hundred meters, you will find the bathing spot on the left-hand side.
