Working Farm
The Hagerhof is a working farm with our animals living in their attached cattle shed. Meet our animals up close & stroke, clean, and even feed our cattle together with us.
We have a small herd of mother cows who enjoy their summers out on the pastures. Our miniature cows are, as the name suggests, quite a bit smaller than cows common here in Germany. The unusual cow breed is called "Dexter" which originated in Ireland. Wait until you see a cute little calf!
We produce our own animal feed, and welcome all guests to join us as we harvest hay or grains, depending on the season.
Dairy farmers in our region predominantly produce milk for the Bergader cheese dairy. Their high-end cheeses include names such as Bavaria Blu, Bergader Edelpilz, and Bonifaz.
We are a grassland farm with some grain farming, as well as forestry. The sustainable Hagerhof exclusively uses the timber from its very own forest.
Our animals are always delighted to meet new helpers, especially children!
